Shoretel Trunk Test Tool

We have create a Mexico Site and added the e1. D-channel is up but outbound call are not working. Incoming call are working fine. Every time I tried to make a local call its giving me service not avaiable.

Do anyone know how to troubleshoot this? Or where to see the log?

I looked in the trunk test tool on the director and it is not even hitting the trunk. So that mean it is a configuration issues on the trunk group or user group. I have double checked and user group have all permission and trunk group have all the correct setting.Please advise if you know what I should look for?

Often times this will bounce the circuit and resolve. Was this previously working and just stopped, or is it a new circuit and it has never worked before?Patrick:Thank you for your reply. Using Shoretel Trunk Test Tool

This is a new setup with new circuit.I was able to make calls using the trunk test tool. So it gotta be some setting with the user group trunk group and site group.When a user try to dial out it is not even hitting the trunk. So it is a setting somewhere.Thank for your help if you can direct me to where to look for it or if there is a log I can trace to see why its not going there. Open the user group for the extension that you are testing from. Is there a check box next to the trunk group for the E1?

Are there any other trunk groups checked?Do you have a full E1 from the provider or did you order a smaller number of channels. If it's the second one, did you mark the remaining channels as unavailable under the switch in Platform Hardware? The E1 should have a higher weight than analog lines but it doesn't hurt to test.Make sure your access code (the number you're hitting to get an outside line) matches the access code in the trunk group for the E1.I have a ShoreTel system and an office in Mexico, but we're not using an E1 circuit, so my experience here is based on PRI. Patrick,Under user group, I have unchecked all and just selected the Mexico E1 trunk. I was able to make a local call out.

So it seem it is working. But Here is the thing now. I cannot dial US number.

So when I dial 8 1213-212-2112 it doesn't work because it is using the E1 setting to dial out. When I tried to dial 8-213-212-2.

I didn't even finish the dialing it is giving me two beep and service is not aviaable. It show the dialing plan as this. +52 664 213 2122. How do I make it so when I dialing US number 8+1 it'll use the US trunk?This is the problem i'm facing now.

Thanks for pointing out to disable all trunk group under the user group. Under the Mexico User group I added the US trunk and Mexico E1 trunk.Thanks again. Almost got it working.
